Do private Vimeo videos work?

No. Only public videos can be downloaded.

Why is 1440p, 4K and 8K an MKV file?

YouTube stores those resolutions in codecs that MP4 handles poorly. MKV keeps them intact. It plays in VLC, most modern players and on most computers. Up to 1080p you get a normal MP4.

Why don't I see every quality?

The list shows only the resolutions the source video offers. "Best available" picks the highest one.

Are there any limits?

Videos up to 3 hours and 2 GB per download. Very large 8K files may not fit.

Where does the file go?

When processing finishes, your browser saves it to its normal downloads folder.
